S1E3 | Purpose Never Expires: Kay Snipes on Business, Ministry & Reinvention

Season #1

Kay Snipes has lived a story that spans decades of entrepreneurship, creativity, ministry, loss, reinvention, and faithful obedience.

From owning a hometown pharmacy with her husband in their 20s to launching tea rooms, gift shops, cooking schools, and creative businesses in multiple states, Kay has followed God into one unexpected season after another. Along the way, she built businesses that were featured in Southern Living and began teaching other women how to launch tea rooms of their own.

Her story also includes deep loss. Kay shares about hurricanes that disrupted what she had built and the death of her husband—seasons that forced her to rebuild, release, and rediscover who she was. Through it all, she came to see that purpose doesn’t end with a career change, a setback, or even failure. God was still at work, shaping her identity, deepening her faith, and preparing her for what came next.

If you’re in a season of rebuilding, dreaming, or wondering what’s next, Kay’s story will encourage you. It’s a reminder that work can be ministry, transitions can become invitations to grow, and it is never too late to begin again.

Delight in Every Step is about encouraging women like us to keep moving, growing, and trying new things in our 50s and beyond. Each episode, I introduce you to a woman who is doing just that.
