S1E5 | From Cancer to Calling: Lynn Pascale’s Story of Faith, Healing & Purpose

Lynn Pascale’s life changed dramatically when a devastating pancreatic cancer diagnosis in her late 40s forced her to confront fear, uncertainty, and a future she could no longer take for granted.

With her children still young and her odds of survival estimated at just 1–5%, Lynn walked through major surgery, treatment, exhaustion, and deep emotional and spiritual wrestling. In the middle of it all, she experienced a profound sense of God’s presence and began to see that surviving would not simply mean returning to the life she had before.

Instead, her story became one of redirection.

Lynn moved from traditional nursing into work that allowed her to bring faith and care together in new ways, including parish nursing and hospice. She became a bridge between physical care and spiritual compassion, and the suffering she had endured became part of what clarified her calling.

Today, Lynn looks back on a life marked by prayer, divine appointments, and everyday obedience. Her story is a reminder that purpose doesn’t end in midlife or beyond. Sometimes the hardest seasons become the very places where calling deepens and impact begins to take a new shape.
