Jennifer Hallman’s story is a beautiful example of how God can take a hard season and begin creating something completely unexpected from it.
During a season marked by caregiving, loss, and uncertainty, Jennifer began writing simple handwritten cards to encourage a friend walking through cancer. What started as a small act of love eventually grew into a children’s book, a creative ministry, and a deeper calling to help others rediscover who God created them to be.
Jennifer and I talk about the way creativity can become both healing and ministry, how easy it is to lose sight of our identity over the years, and how the lies we believe about ourselves can quietly keep us from moving forward. Her story reminds us that we don’t need to have the entire plan figured out before we begin. Sometimes we simply need to take the next step God puts in front of us.
